Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences offers educational opportunities in the green southern Harz region with its broad range of courses. In about 30 study programs, students benefit from high quality teaching, individual support and transdisciplinary, practice-oriented projects.

Family orientation and equality

So that you do not have to weigh up between work and family life, we offer you the best possible support as a family-conscious university. After consultation, we offer you various working time models for your different life phases, the possibility to reduce or increase your working hours and also the option to vary your activities according to the compatibility of family life and career. On our campus we offer childcare places if required and according to availability. Children from the age of 8 months until they start school can attend the Kita Campus Kinder. There are 25 places available ? ten of which are for children under the age of 3. As a member of Karriere für Zwei and the Dual Career Network Mitteldeutschland and the Dual Career Network Thüringen (DCNT), we support you and your family through our cooperations and ourselves actively in the professional reorientation in the region.

Health and mindfulness

The physical and mental condition of each individual plays a decisive role in their long-term success at work. With preventive measures in the areas of health care, stress management, sports and massage offers, we want to support you in the best possible way to stay healthy. As part of our occupational health management program, we offer medical examinations, ergonomic workplace equipment, testing and preventive care services, and financial support for health services such as VDU glasses.

Cooperation and personal interaction

Within our university, we desire an open exchange among our employees and promote interdisciplinary cooperation. Personal contact with all contact persons is particularly important to us in this regard and is promoted, for example, through joint lunches, events and informal get-togethers on campus.
