Staff and teaching mobility

Would you like to experience the world from a different perspective? Broaden your horizons and take part in an exchange with fellow teachers in other countries? Or are you simply looking for a change of scenery? If so, our staff mobility programme might be the right option for you.

Mobility programme for teaching

Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences offers funding for staff teaching exchanges with partner universities in  Erasmus+ programme and partner countries.

Academic teaching staff may seek Erasmus+ funding for a teaching period at a European partner university that holds an Erasmus University Charter. Teaching periods at non-European institutions can be funded if the home institution has concluded an Erasmus+ cooperation agreement with the receiving institution.

Through their stay, visiting lecturers are hoped to strengthen the European dimension of the host university, expand the range of courses on offer and impart their knowledge and expertise to students who do not have the opportunity to study abroad. Other objectives include the development of joint degree programmes by the two partner universities and an exchange of course content and teaching methods.

All members of the academic staff at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences are eligible for this programme. The minimum stay at the partner university is two days, with a minimum of eight teaching hours.

Academic staff participating in the mobility programme at partner universities within the framework of Erasmus+ will receive the following:

  • Lump sum for travel expenses (calculated on the basis of the distance travelled)
  • Lump sum for accommodation (based on the destination country)
  • Special allowances for people with disabilities

Mobility programme for further training

As another means of enhancing the internationalisation of universities, it is possible for university staff from all areas of work (teaching and administration) to participate in further training courses at universities and companies/institutions abroad.

All members of staff at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, including lecturers on hourly contracts, as well as retired lecturers, are eligible for this programme. The minimum stay abroad is two working days.

Those participating in the mobility programme for further training at partner universities within the framework of Erasmus+ will receive the following:

  • Lump sum for travel expenses (calculated on the basis of the distance travelled)
  • Lump sum for accommodation (based on the destination country)
  • Special allowances for people with disabilities
