The library provides numerous licensed databases for research purposes.
These and other databases are also available sorted by topic in the Database Information System DBIS available.
Beck online is a full-text database for law. It can be accessed by university members campus-wide and also from outside the campus network.

EconBiz is the search engine of the German National Library of Economics (ZBW) and lists up to 3.4 million online documents on economic topics.
In addition to journals and individual articles, the offer also includes eBooks and working papers, most of which can be read and downloaded free of charge. Freely available texts can be filtered out separately within the search engine.
EconBiz is freely accessible on the Internet.

The scientific publisher Elsevier provides English-language e-books and freely accessible e-journals from social, economic and technical subject areas via its online portal ScienceDirect.
Note: This database also contains content not licensed by us. You can recognise full-text access by the orange box in the results list.

In the list below you will find databases that have been acquired by the library as part of the national licences.
The acquisition of national licences is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

For more detailed information on the individual national licence databases, please visit the Database information system DBIS.
Nautos is a full-text database of all currently valid DIN standards and draft standards, including preliminary standards and supplements as well as VDI guidelines. Access is via Nautos. Authorised users are members of the university, lecturers and guest lecturers, other members of the university, students and visitors to the library who use an IP address within the defined address ranges. Standards may only be printed out or permanently saved for personal academic use.
Commercial use is not permitted.

VDE standards
Full-text database of all valid DIN standards for electrical engineering and information technology. The standards are also labelled VDE (e.g. DIN VDE 0100-570/ VDE 0100-570). It is not possible to download documents.
Access: only via research PCs (Discovery Tool and OPAC) in the library

There is access to around 2,700 e-books, mainly on legal topics.
All titles are available as a complete download from the campus network and via Shibboleth. The e-books are also available via the Discovery Tool or the OPAC can be researched in the university library.

Around 1,000 e-books from the social sciences are available via the ProQuest platform. It is possible to download the e-books chapter by chapter.

SpringerLink is one of the best-known databases for e-books and e-journals.
Here you will find full-text access to around 2,800 e-journals published by Springer Nature (including Springer Medical, Palgrave, Adis and Macmillan Academic) in the fields of social sciences, economics and technology.
The following journals are not included: Nature journals, magazines (e.g. Scientific American, Spektrum der Wissenschaft), technical journals (e.g. ATZ and MTZ).
A lot of content from the period 1860 - 1997 has also been made researchable and freely accessible.

The statistics portal Statista gives you direct access to relevant statistics on markets, consumers and social issues. Statista does not generate statistics itself, but works together with well-known partners.

The Wiley Online Library offers you full-text access to approx. 1,700 e-journals published by Wiley / Wiley-VCH.
The journal articles included cover social, economic and scientific topics.
All journals are available from the campus network and can be accessed in the OPAC or in the Discovery Tool researchable.
