The Digital Library Thuringia (DBT) is a joint platform of the Thuringian universities and is used for the electronic publication and long-term archiving of multimedia content.

Publishing content in the Digital Library of Thuringia is free of charge and offers worldwide availability and findability of the uploaded content. In addition, citation is guaranteed by constant addresses.

In addition to documents, videos, audio recordings and data from research and teaching, academic theses can also be uploaded to the Digital Library of Thuringia.

Teachers also have the option of creating digital term files with selected materials and releasing them to the participants of a lecture with password protection.

The Digital Library of Thuringia can be searched by means of a simple or advanced search, but also offers the possibility of browsing the contents of individual institutions or by specific document types, subject groups and persons.

Publishing a thesis

For the publication of a Bachelor's or Master's thesis in the Digital Library of Thuringia (DBT), a declaration of consent completed and signed by the student and examiner is required, which is submitted to the library together with the electronic thesis (in PDF format):

The electronic thesis will be published immediately by the university library. After publication, you will receive an e-mail with the URL that will give you direct access to your thesis.
