Semester ticket

Since the beginning of the summer semester 2013, the semester ticket consists of the Thuringia ticket of DB Regio and the public transport ticket of the city of Nordhausen.

Current information on the validity range of the semester ticket can be found on the website of the Thüringer Studierendenwerk. Information about the current costs for the DB Regio and the ÖPNV-Ticket can be found under semester fees.

The public transport ticket of the city of Nordhausen is valid on all city lines (bus and streetcar), except line 10 from Bahnhofsplatz towards Ilfeld.

Bringing children

Im öffentlichen Nahverkehr (Straßenbahn- und Busverkehr):

Children under 8 years of age are transported free of charge until they start school (1st day of school) and only when accompanied by an adult. From school enrollment up to and including the age of 14, children can use the fare products Kinder-Einzelfahrt, Kinder-Einzelfahrt BahnCard and Kinder-4-Fahrtenkarte. Children of school age can also use the fare products Schüler-Azubi-Wochenkarte, Schüler-Azubi-Monatskarte and Abo Schüler/Azubi.

On trains of the railroad (Deutsche Bahn and private railroads):

The holder of a Semesterticket Thuringia may travel with any number of his or her own children or grandchildren up to and including the age of 14 (so-called "family children"). Children between the ages of 6 and 14 must either carry a child ID card or be registered on the DB Family Card.
