Department of Economic and Social Sciences
Practice-oriented university teaching in economic and social affairs
The Department of Economic and Social Sciences offers its students seven Bachelor's and three Master's degree courses - plus five continuing education Master's programmes. All higher education programmes prepare for modern management in corporate, social and charitable institutions. Its practical orientation and close contact with the regional economy ensure that teaching is geared to the requirements of companies and associations. For students, this offers the opportunity to make contact with companies through internships or a Bachelor‘s or Master‘s thesis. Small lecture groups also support practice-oriented learning. Here, students do neither study in overcrowded lecture halls nor in anonymity like at many other universities.
