The new scholarship holders received their certificates on 7 November. From now on, these students can look forward to a monthly grant of 300 euros and concentrate more on their studies during the funding period. This amount is shared between the sponsor and the federal government.
After Nordthüringer Volksbank has been sponsoring a scholarship holder since March 2013, three more regional companies have now decided to become active in the Deutschlandstipendium programme: SCHACHTBAU Nordhausen, Maximator and the Kreissparkasse Nordhausen Foundation.
The purpose of the Deutschlandstipendium is to support students with good grades and academic achievements who are also characterised by their willingness to take on social and societal responsibility.
