Our university

Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is a young, ambitious campus university that offers high-quality education and research. Our basis is a liberal-democratic understanding. Respectful and appreciative interaction is our aspiration, which applies equally to all members of the university.

Responsibility and sustainability

We are committed to our social, economic and ecological responsibility and to the sustainability of our actions in all areas of the university. Respect for equality between men and women, for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses and support for families wherever university members take on long-term responsibilities are a matter of course for us. We reject and firmly oppose discrimination of any kind.

Regional anchoring and internationality

We are cosmopolitan and tolerant, we promote the acquisition of international experience, intercultural competence and language skills among students and teaching staff. With our many activities, we offer an open university for the people in our neighbourhood. Internationally recognised degrees, diverse university partnerships and international projects are a flagship of our university. At the same time, we feel particularly committed to our region. We maintain extensive partnerships with companies, organisations and administrations and strive to continuously expand them.

Teaching and learning
