Future contract "Strengthening studies and teaching"

Quality of study and teaching

With the Pact for the Future as the successor to the Higher Education Pact 2020, the federal and state governments are jointly improving the quality of studying and teaching at universities. Some of the measures that Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is implementing with the Pact for the Future are presented on the pages of the Study & Teaching Department.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the funding guidelines that can be implemented with the Pact for the Future in a total of 4 priority areas. You can find information on the Contract for the Future on the website of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and in the Thuringian programme for the implementation of the Future Treaty (PDF).
You can apply for various funding programmes at the Foundation for Innovation in University Teaching submit an application.
Cooperative impulse projects and Free hour will be published via the eTeach Network Thuringia requested.

Projects

The projects that have taken place at HSN so far or are currently running are presented here:

The ProTELC project is divided into three sub-projects: Phasing In, Studying Sucessfully & Phasing Out. The sub-project Pre-Courses/Basic Engineering School is concerned with processing the results of the BEST project and developing the content of the "Glocal Campus 21+" platform, in which prospective students from all universities can complete pre-courses in order to get a better start to their studies.

In addition to teaching materials, competence checks are also offered, enabling prospective students to recognise their own weaknesses and address them with the materials provided. This expansion of the introductory phase of the degree programme should increase the motivation and interest of new students. This will increase their satisfaction with their choice of degree programme and, in the long term, improve their academic success. Care is also taken to ensure that the teaching materials are understandable and motivating for beginners, regardless of their previous educational background. It is also important that beginners get a feeling for the extent to which a degree programme differs from their previous school education.

This programme supports projects and initiatives that reflect on teaching, learning and examination formats at Thuringian universities, rethink them for the academic and professional world and enrich them digitally.

  • Realisation of half-year or full-year projects
  • Realisation of new ideas for the design of learning, teaching and testing
  • Support through counselling, networking, project-related material resources and personnel resources for research assistants
  • Cooperation between at least two partners from different universities in Thuringia required
  • All full-time lecturers at Thuringian universities are eligible to apply
