I would like to become a guest student - what do I need to do?

Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences offers interested members of the public the opportunity to seek inspiration for extra- or part-time activities, not to let their own life experiences and knowledge lie fallow and to seek contact with teaching and research. With the guest student programme, you can continue your education in individual fields of knowledge without aiming for a formal degree.

There are no age, degree or professional status restrictions. Anyone who wants to engage in challenging intellectual activity is very welcome.

The choice of courses can be based on personal interests. Admission does not entitle students to take examinations. A certificate of attendance can be issued in consultation with the lecturers.

Admission to the relevant courses takes place in consultation with the deans of studies within the framework of the available study options. Participation in courses as part of laboratory practicals is excluded.

  • (2) The application for a guest auditor programme must be submitted using the application form provided by the university. Admission to a guest auditor programme is granted for one semester at a time. The fee for the guest auditor programme is based on the current version of the university's fee regulations.
