The Doctoral Candidates' Representation at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences represents the interests of doctoral students and all doctoral candidates who are working on their doctoral project at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. It facilitates an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental exchange on doctoral-related issues and thus contributes to the promotion of an interdisciplinary, cooperative and international doctoral culture at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. The work of the doctoral student representatives makes the work of doctoral students at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences visible both internally and externally.
Tasks of the doctoral student representatives
Formulating and representing the interests of doctoral students at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and making recommendations in all matters concerning them to all bodies and committees of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences
Promotion of networking and exchange between doctoral students
Promotion of structures for professional support among doctoral candidates (e.g. writing workshop, internal colloquia)
Support for doctoral candidates in matters relating to the doctoral procedure at the request of the doctoral candidate
Assistance and counselling for doctoral candidates
Promotion and networking of former doctoral students at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences
Organisation of further training courses for doctoral candidates' doctoral projects
Regular exchange with the university's doctoral advisors
Current representation of the doctoral student representatives
Credit points are earned for successfully completed coursework and examinations in accordance with the "European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System" (ECTS).
The ECTS points reflect the average learning effort. One ECTS point corresponds to 30 hours of study.
Based on the ECTS points, the study and examination achievements are internationally comparable.
