The Staatliches Studienkolleg is an educational institution affiliated to Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences that prepares foreign applicants for studying at a college or university.
The preparatory programme is limited to one year (two semesters). Under certain conditions, each semester can be repeated once. The preparatory programme concludes with the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP), which consists of written and oral examinations.
Passing the assessment test entitles you to study at a German higher education institution or university in accordance with the admission regulations.
Please note:
Students who come to Germany for one or two semesters as part of an exchange programme should contact the International Office. You do not need any authorisation tests.
Equipment
Residence of the Studienkolleg on campus
We have two physics classrooms, a chemistry and biology laboratory and a computer lab with 26 PC workstations.
A hall of residence with shared flats is located directly behind the teaching building.
We are happy to help our students find suitable accommodation for the duration of their stay at the Studienkolleg.

Credit points are earned for successfully completed coursework and examinations in accordance with the "European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System" (ECTS).
The ECTS points reflect the average learning effort. One ECTS point corresponds to 30 hours of study.
Based on the ECTS points, the study and examination achievements are internationally comparable.
