The respective health insurance status must be documented for enrolment in a degree programme. Enrolment can only take place after electronic insurance registration with the statutory health insurance company, i.e. every person applying for a study place must contact the responsible health insurance company (KV) before enrolment (electronic student registration procedure - SMV).

According to §199a SGB V, health insurance companies and universities have a mutual obligation to report health insurance. The statutory health insurance company reports the status (M10) to Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences electronically based on the information it receives from the student/applicant.

Since 1 January 2022, such notifications have been made exclusively electronically.

Notifications in paper form can no longer be accepted!

What does that mean for you?

Applicants

We require an electronic notification of your insurance status (M10) from your health insurance company at the latest at the time of enrolment. If you have statutory health insurance at the start of your studies, please inform your health insurance provider that you will be enrolling at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. Your health insurance company will then send us the required notification.

Students who change their health insurance company

To ensure that the next re-registration can take place smoothly, we need an electronic notification of the change of health insurance provider (M11) from your new health insurance provider. Please inform your new health insurance company that you are studying at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. Your health insurance company will then send us the required notification.
