International Office

The Erasmus+ programme combines lifelong learning with mobility opportunities. All employees of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences who would like to experience the world from a different perspective by exchanging ideas with colleagues from other countries can take advantage of the staff mobility programme. The aims include international networking and professional exchange with colleagues from other European universities, strengthening intercultural skills and improving foreign language skills.

Within the framework of Staff Weeks/Days, for example, short stays for further education and training purposes (including participation in certain language courses abroad) can be subsidised. In addition to information on offers from partner universities in the newsletter and by e-mail, you will also find Europe-wide offers to choose from. Teaching staff also have the opportunity to receive funding for short teaching mobilities for teaching purposes abroad.

Detailed information on the topic Erasmus Mobility can be found on the pages of the International Office.

Intercultural training for employees - current basic, advanced and advanced training courses

This year, the International Office is once again offering the opportunity to take part in an intercultural training course run by our long-standing partner Ms Eva Hartwich from the organisation Embrace Differences in Jena.

The training offers the ideal opportunity and space to discuss and reflect on the potential, but also the difficulties and problems of international/intercultural communication and cooperation, and to jointly develop approaches and strategies for dealing with spontaneously arising uncertainties in heterogeneous contexts - these occur in both national and international contexts.

On Thursday, 18.04.24 from 13:00 - 17:00 there will be a basic training and on Friday, 19.04.24 8:30-12:00 an advanced training. You can register under the following link: https://moodle.hs-nordhausen.de/course/view.php?id=10444 Anonymised example situations from practice can also be used to exchange ideas with other colleagues. Participation in the training will be recognised for a forthcoming "Certificate of Intercultural Competence (ZIK for Employees)". You will also receive a certificate of attendance.

Take advantage of the opportunity offered by this year's 26th International Project Week (IPW) with 18 projects and 22 (guest) lecturers to network professionally and internationally or simply chat in English. You can drop by the Coffee Room (H19 SR 4) at any time - alone or in groups. As in the previous year, there will also be German-speaking colleagues.
