Many young people are finding it increasingly difficult to decide between vocational training and a degree programme. A dual study programme with in-depth practical experience is an interesting solution.
Dual study programmes offer a number of advantages for both students and companies. Students benefit from close contact with companies right from the start of their studies, allowing them to deepen their theoretical knowledge through practical experience. In addition, they already receive remuneration during their studies. For the companies, in turn, the close connection to the students creates a valuable opportunity to train specialists and exchange knowledge. A special feature of the degree programme Regenerative energy technology practice PLUS is that companies can influence the training programme by integrating their own specific training content into the course. Practical modules already support the onboarding process of students in the company in the first semester, while company-specific content can be integrated in a targeted manner in the main study programme. Even smaller companies with limited training capacities have the opportunity to have the aforementioned content fully trained at the university and still benefit from the dual education content.
The degree programme is aimed at young people who are interested in engineering and renewable energies. During their studies, students learn how to develop, plan and operate renewable energy systems.
The basic elements of regenerative energy systems, e.g. solar thermal, photovoltaic and Wind energy systems and the use of the Bioenergy are at the centre of the course. The programme also covers the integration of renewable energy systems into existing electricity and heating grids as well as issues relating to the energy industry and energy law.
Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is still looking for companies interested in participating in the dual study programme. Dr Pascal Leibbrandt, Dean of Studies for the course, is already in contact with around 20 regional and national companies, some of which have already signed cooperation agreements with Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. Interested companies and students are cordially invited to contact Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences directly for further information: www.hs-nordhausen.de/studienangebote/dual-studieren
