Energieversorgung Nordhausen and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences sign cooperation agreement for dual study programme "StudiumPraxis" and "StudiumPraxisPlus+"

Energieversorgung Nordhausen GmbH (EVN) and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences signed a cooperation agreement for the dual study programmes "StudiumPraxis" and "StudiumPraxisPlus+" on 24 August 2013. The agreement was signed by Jana Zöller, Managing Director of Energieversorgung Nordhausen GmbH, and Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.

The dual study programme is generally possible for all degree courses, but is aimed in particular at students of renewable energy technology and business administration. The study model offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable practical experience alongside your studies. This gives students a concrete perspective on their professional career after graduation at an early stage. In addition to the practical experience gained, they receive a company training allowance right from the start, which further emphasises the added value of this educational programme.

Jana Zöller, Managing Director of EVN, commented on the cooperation as follows: "The collaboration with the university offers great added value for everyone involved. The students are familiarised with EVN topics and projects right from the start and apply the theory they have learned in practice. They are closely involved in the further development of renewable energies in particular. In this way, the energy transition can be shaped together."

Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, emphasised the importance of this collaboration: "Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences strives to offer its students educational opportunities that are practical and future-oriented. Thanks to the cooperation with EVN, our students have the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired directly in the real world of work. This gives them valuable insights into the industry and allows them to develop their skills in a practical way. "

Prospective students who would like to start their studies at the beginning of October this year can apply by 30 September 2023 at the latest. The prerequisite is to contact EVN (application@energie-nordhausen.de) and enrolment at the university.
