The recent networking meeting to promote volunteering in Nordhausen was a great success. We would like to thank all participants for their active participation and lively interest in our project. The diversity of the associations and organisations represented was impressive, ranging from small associations to large organisations. This was also reflected in the wide range of areas in which voluntary work is carried out in Nordhausen.

Special thanks go to the Thüringer Ehrenamtsstiftung, represented by Managing Director Dr Niels Lange and Ms Rinke, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board and former Mayor of Nordhausen, who introduced themselves personally at the start of the networking meeting.

The intensive and productive discussion that took place during the World Café discussion rounds was particularly impressive. It was pleasing to see how the participants exchanged ideas with each other and recorded many valuable thoughts and approaches. Particular emphasis was placed on good communication and public relations, as we have been able to see from our evaluation so far.

To fulfil this need, we are pleased to announce that an Instagram channel has been created. Under the user name "projekt_fa_ndh" you will find information on the further progress of the project and relevant content on the topic of "volunteering". There will also be a regular email newsletter informing interested organisations and associations about the next important milestones.

We would like to maintain contact with all participants and invite other interested parties from Nordhausen to take part in our project. Together we can continue to make Nordhausen a lively and diverse place.

Brief organisation of the networking meeting:

The meeting began with a warm welcome from the students and representatives of the Thuringian Volunteering Foundation. The organisations and associations then had the opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and present the diversity of volunteering in Nordhausen.

The progress and activities in the project to date were also presented. This was followed by the World Café, where various issues relating to the topic of "volunteering" and "setting up a volunteer agency" were discussed at three themed tables. Questions on the tasks of a volunteer agency, alternative formats and the success factors for successful collaboration were discussed.

Finally, the World Café was reflected upon.
