Practical experience
This was the motto of the second practical support days for 4th semester students last Thursday and Friday.
It became clear during the first support days in May that more space was needed for personal dialogue. The wish was to reflect on the internship together again later and to see how everyone grew in their tasks during the internship semester. Together with the lecturers, the students then developed a concept for a second meeting that would make this possible.
Last week, the idea was put into practice. On the first day, experiences were shared and practical projects and topics were discussed. The afternoon continued with the practical report, after which methods were presented and the programme for the next day was planned together.
It's easier to start the day on a full stomach, so the second day began with breakfast together. This was followed by several rounds of peer counselling. By developing hypotheses, the students were able to reflect on practical situations from new perspectives. At the same time, the method was trialled as a form of reflection within the team.
There was also plenty of informal dialogue, whether during the breaks or over lunch. Finally, the topics relating to the practical report were discussed. The students were thus able to start the final weeks of the practical semester with fresh impetus and a stronger dialogue!
