Extract from the Official Journal No. 4/1996:

  1. A foreign applicant who has not attended the Studienkolleg may take part in the assessment test as an external student in accordance with the following provisions.
  2. Admission to the FSP as an external candidate requires that the applicant:
    1. is in possession of a certificate of education which is only recognised as a qualification for the intended course of study at a Thuringian university in conjunction with a successfully completed FSP,
    2. has applied for a study place at a Thuringian university and has been assigned by this university to the Studienkolleg to take the FSP for a specific course.
  3. Unless otherwise specified, the provisions on the FSP apply accordingly.
  4. Before the FSP, the external student is given the opportunity to inform him/herself at the Studienkolleg about the examination requirements and the appropriate type of preparation.
  5. The external candidate must take the oral examination in all examination subjects of the relevant course. In deviation from sentence 1, the oral examination is waived in the written examination subjects if a grade of at least "satisfactory" was achieved in the written examination.
