The person to be appointed should represent the subject area in teaching and research.
Your requirements profile:
You will be responsible for the Department of Mechanical Engineering/Design and will be able to cover a broad spectrum of basic subjects in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in the Department of Engineering. The core area of the professorship covers the following issues in teaching and research:
You have a degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable degree programme. You are a committed person who has gained extensive experience in teaching and professional practice in the above-mentioned specialist areas and has in-depth knowledge.
We expect outstanding commitment from you in the mechanical engineering-oriented Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes, in our international Master's degree programmes and in research activities at the university, in particular at the Resource Institute Nordhausen (ResIn) on issues of sustainable resource management and the circular economy.
The department attaches particular importance to evidence of pedagogical aptitude, ideally proven by experience in teaching, and a willingness to take on tasks in university self-administration. The ability to teach courses in very good German and English is a prerequisite. Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences expects intensive supervision of the students and thus a high level of presence of the lecturers at the university.
