This laboratory is assigned to the Department of Thermal Energy Systems and is mainly used in the main course of the RET degree programme. The research area focuses on the development and performance optimisation of solar thermal and geothermal components. The equipment also enables the laboratory testing (prototype testing) of solar thermal and geothermal components.
Special equipment:
Test rig for determining the heat transfer capacity of shell-and-tube heat exchangers
Pressure, temperature and volumetric flow sensors
Coriolis mass flow sensor
Thermographic camera
Test stand for static and dynamic structural analysis (single panes, insulating glass units, flat collectors)
Collector performance test bench based on DIN EN ISO 9806
Credit points are earned for successfully completed coursework and examinations in accordance with the "European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System" (ECTS).
The ECTS points reflect the average learning effort. One ECTS point corresponds to 30 hours of study.
Based on the ECTS points, the study and examination achievements are internationally comparable.
