"Why not swap the lecture theatre for an idyllic lake?" asked Marcus Schäfer, inviting his students to a "Lecture by the Lake" for the last course before the start of the examination period. The idea couldn't have been better, as the summer was at its hottest.
With sweltering heat and an acute need to cool down, this idea was more than welcome. The students had the opportunity to clarify their exam-related questions in Financial Management & Statistics before jumping into the cool water and rounding off the day with a barbecue.
Around 20 students from the 2nd semester of Public Management and the 6th semester of Business Administration took part in this unusual lecture and were delighted.
"It was a great idea to hold the lecture right by the lake," says student Nathalie. "The mixture of learning, chilling out and fun was just the right thing to switch off and relax before the exams.
A touch of summer and creative approaches have proven it: Learning can also be cool in the truest sense of the word!
