DEUSA International GmbH and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences have signed a cooperation agreement that forms the basis for collaboration in the selection and training of young talent as part of the dual/practical degree programme at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. The agreement aims to impart in-depth practical knowledge during the course of the degree programme and is a good opportunity for regional schools to make their pupils aware of this valuable educational option.

University President Prof. Dr Jörg Wagner expressed his delight at the partnership and emphasised the importance of dual study programmes for the region: "Our collaboration with DEUSA enables us to further expand our dual/practical study programme and ensure a close integration of theory and practical phases for our students."

Dr Peter C.G. Davids, CEO of DEUSA, added: "The shortage of skilled workers is one of our main concerns. With this dual study programme, we not only want to cover our own need for qualified employees, but also help to keep talented young people in the region. The dual study programme makes it much easier for graduates to start their careers."

The cooperation between DEUSA and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences covers various areas, including research and development. Together, the contractual partners endeavour to strengthen the link between university studies and professional practice in order to offer students the opportunity to acquire practical qualifications in the company alongside their studies.

Matthias Schmidt, Managing Director of DEUSA, added: "Our vision is to become CO2-neutral and we are looking for holistic solutions to achieve this. The cooperation with Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is a further step in this direction and will help us to develop innovative ideas."

The integration of company knowledge and skills into the university programme promises synergy effects that will benefit both the degree programme and the professional activity and contribute to innovation in the university programme.

The signing of this cooperation agreement marks another important step for the region and the future of training young talent in the industry. DEUSA International GmbH and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences are determined to successfully implement their partnership and sustainably promote the development of skilled labour in the region.
