Since the beginning of 2016, the ISRV has been involved in the scientific monitoring and conceptual development of the FABIDO Kinderstube in Dortmund-Eving. The nursery opened in November/December 2015 and took in 9 children from the Märchensiedlung and closely neighbouring districts. Of the 9 children, 8 children and their parents are cared for as part of youth welfare services in accordance with Section 27 ff SGB VIII. The majority of the children admitted there receive various support services, for example SPFH and/or early intervention as a complex service. The aim of the project is to gain insights into whether the preventative and low-threshold work in the childcare centres can provide support and relief within the framework of the HSC as well as having a socio-educational and fiscal impact.
The focus of the project is to analyse the extent to which, for example, youth welfare processes can be implemented in the work of the nurseries as part of educational support. Overall, various aspects are therefore at the centre of the conceptual development:
The questions to be investigated are:
The overarching questions to be addressed are how an overload/overload of day carers can be avoided in this context, which professional support services are required and how high the personnel costs of the provider would be with regard to the professional support of day carers. In addition, the question of how such a support service is accepted by the families and how the support is accepted and perceived by the parents will be investigated.
The scientific monitoring of the project will run until the end of 2017.
