Nordhausen public transport company and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences sign cooperation agreement for dual study programme "StudiumPraxis" and "StudiumPraxisPlus+"

Verkehrsbetriebe Nordhausen GmbH and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences today signed a cooperation agreement for the dual study programmes "StudiumPraxis" and "StudiumPraxisPlus+". The agreement was signed by Thorsten Schwarz, Managing Director of Verkehrsbetriebe Nordhausen GmbH, and Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.

The dual study programme offers electrical and mechanical engineering students in particular a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in business and industry while completing their studies. This gives them a concrete perspective on their professional career after graduation at an early stage. In addition to the practical experience gained, students receive a company training allowance right from the start, which further emphasises the added value of this educational programme.

A central goal of the cooperation is to promote and further develop the training programme for "Operations Manager of Verkehrsbetriebe Nordhausen GmbH, especially in tram transport". The close cooperation between Verkehrsbetriebe Nordhausen and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is intended to prepare future students of electrical and mechanical engineering specifically for such demanding positions.
