Come along and let the music inspire you! Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences invites you to its Open Day on 13 May 2023 from 1 pm. In addition to the presentation of many exciting and future-oriented degree programmes, visitors can also expect a musical highlight: the talent stage with great student bands. Admission is free.

The talent stage on the open day offers a great opportunity to get to know young musicians from the local area and discover their music. It is of course also a wonderful opportunity to support cultural life in the region and offer young artists a platform to showcase their talents.
"Music is a universal language that connects people. And that's exactly what we want to achieve," report Gerald Michael Fähnrich and the press officer of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, Tina Bergknapp, who have been planning the musical part of the Open Day over the past few months.
Fähnrich, who launched the talent stage a few years ago, heads the band group at the Humboldt-Gymnasium in Nordhausen, where young pupils learn to play various instruments and make music together. The talent stage offers the young musicians an excellent opportunity to present their acquired skills to a larger audience and gain valuable stage experience.
Three of the four school bands belong to the band club at Humboldt-Gymnasium and the fourth band comes from the district music school. The members of the school bands come from Humboldt-Gymnasium, Herder-Gymnasium and Regelschule Niedersachswerfen. "Bring all your friends and classmates. It never gets boring on our campus," emphasises Tina Bergknapp. At the end of the event at around 5.45 pm, the band Fast 'n' Lose will perform and round off the regional music programme with rocking sounds.
In addition to the music acts, visitors can find out about the degree programmes, current research focuses, opportunities for student financing, future prospects and much more on this day. The programme is packed full. There is something for all ages. Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences offers a wide range of degree programmes in the fields of engineering, IT, green tech, business, management, social sciences and health.
