The ELSA study

The study "Experiences and life situations of unintentionally pregnant women - counselling and care services" was funded by the Federal Ministry of Health from 2020 to 2024 based on a resolution of the German Bundestag. The multi-centre and interdisciplinary study aims to improve the health and psychosocial care of unintentionally pregnant women on the basis of scientific data (see elsa-study.com).

ELSA-VG

The Partial study at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences examines the perspective of women who may be confronted with particular challenges due to their life situation.

The focus is on the experiences and perspectives of women who experienced violence in their partnership at the time of the unwanted pregnancy. The structural and personal challenges and burdens they were confronted with and the resources available to them were analysed.

The symposium

In the morning, hybrid presents key findings and recommendations for action from the sub-project centred on the vulnerable group of women affected by partner violence. In the afternoon, practical problems will be discussed in depth with experts in workshops and recommendations for recognising, addressing and providing care will be presented.

The keynote speeches in the morning can be followed online at webconf.hs-nordhausen.de

The symposium is financially supported by Institute for Social Medicine, Rehabilitation Sciences and Health Services Research (ISRV).
