Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences thanks all employees for their work with personalised college jackets

The President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, is personally distributing college jackets to all university employees. The jackets will be distributed from 17 to 21 January 2022 as a sign of gratitude for the performance of the employees, especially in these challenging times. This gesture of appreciation was initiated by a spontaneous exchange during a meeting.

"Do all employees get this jacket from the university?" asked Christiane Oeftiger, an employee in the ProfX project, to the President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, Jörg Wagner, who was wearing a blue and white college jacket from the Fanshop of the university. "No, I bought them for myself and my family," was the answer, "but that would be a great idea to symbolically thank the employees for their commitment to Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences."

No sooner said than done: before Christmas, all employees received an e-mail informing them that they could register in the Fanshop can order a college jacket according to their size and colour preferences.

Since the entire colour spectrum was really covered here, the order via the agency astra Werbetechnik took a little longer.

On Monday, the President began distributing the gifts at the Student Service Centre, the Human Resources department and the University Incubator for Entrepreneurship. "I am very pleased to be able to personally thank the employees for their commitment with a small gift," said Wagner.

He was flanked by idea generator Christiane Oeftiger and her colleague Tobias Rösch from the ProfX project. The aim of the project, which is funded by the federal and state governments, is to recruit specialists in the professorial field at universities of applied sciences. In addition to teaching and research tandems, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is working in particular in its role as an employer in the areas of employee retention, employer marketing and recruitment.

The majority of the college jackets ordered should be distributed in the course of this week. For employees who are working from home or have not been at the university this week, the college jacket will be deposited in the secretariat of the President's Office for collection.
