This summer, Dr Frank Wiese from Marburg was appointed professor by UAS President Prof Dr Jörg Wagner. He had already held a deputy professorship in the field of "Project planning of technical systems" at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences since March 2014.
The mechanical engineering graduate has already worked as a research assistant at the University of Marburg and the University of Kassel. He completed his doctorate in Kassel in 2006 on the subject of "Long-term monitoring of large solar-integrated heat supply systems". He then worked as a project engineer at Wagner & Co. solar technology in Cölbe and took up a teaching position at the University of Kassel in the field of solar thermal energy.
"I am very much looking forward to my new tasks in the practical vocational training of young people. One of the particular strengths of Nordhausen as a university location is the good cooperation between university lecturers, and I would also like to play an active part in this," says the newly appointed professor.
