Prof Dr Sabrina Schramme is Professor of Inclusive Education. She now teaches and conducts research at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences in her main areas of specialisation:
- Inclusion, participation and inclusion of people with disabilities across the lifespan
- Intersectionality research,
- Dealing with diversity/heterogeneity in education,
- the structural categories of disability, gender, sexual identity and age in education,
- Social inequality research and research on social power and domination relations,
- as well as biographical research and biographical perspectives on inclusion across the lifespan.
Sabrina Schramme studied curative education at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Westphalia-Lippe in Bochum. This was followed by practical work experience in the field of working with people with disabilities and a degree in rehabilitation sciences at the Technical University of Dortmund. Sabrina Schramme then worked as a research assistant and lecturer for special tasks at the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences in the "Department of Women's Research in Rehabilitation and Disability Education". She also worked for many years as the Faculty's Equal Opportunities Officer and is a member of the advisory board of the NRW Women's and Gender Studies Network.
Sabrina Schramme completed her doctorate in rehabilitation sciences at the Technical University of Dortmund - title of the dissertation: Biographical experiences with integration (inclusion) in kindergarten and school from the perspective of disabled women and men. An empirical study (published by Projekt-Verlag).
As part of the state programme "Karrierewege FH-Professur", Sabrina Schramme was also employed as a lecturer for special tasks at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences Rhineland-Westphalia-Lippe in Bochum (Department of Curative Education and Nursing) and as a project employee at Bethel.regional in Dortmund (research project: Possibilities for diversity-sensitive support of specialists at the management level of Bethel.regional).
On 8 March, Sabrina Schramme was officially appointed professor by the Vice President for Research and Development at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr Viktor Wesselak.
