...energy systems?
The Energy Systems degree programme thus addresses the necessities resulting from the energy transition. While the previous focus of the energy transition was on the replacement of conventional energy supply systems with renewable alternatives, the conversion of the entire energy supply system is now becoming increasingly important.
tems to the fore. Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences was one of the first universities in Germany to respond to the energy transition by establishing its own undergraduate degree programme in "Regenerative Energy Technology" and is now responding to the tasks ahead with the "Energy Systems" Master's degree programme.
Alongside Industry 4.0, the restructuring of our current energy supply system, known as the energy transition, is one of the key transformation processes for our industrialised society. The necessary reduction of climate-damaging emissions can now be described as a social consensus. The distribution of the costs still to be incurred and the final design of our energy system are still a task for the future.

What is the difference between studying at a University of Applied Sciences (UAS) and at a „Universität“ (university)? At our University of Applied Sciences, you will receive much more support throughout your learning process than at a traditional university. We provide self-assessment questions to help you check your understanding, offer practical exercises to deepen your knowledge, and encourage a high level of interaction in lectures and seminars. This is very different from courses with more than 300 students.
