The University Library is a central facility of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. We support teaching, research and study at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences with our information and media holdings. As a public library, we are available to all interested parties for professional and general further education.

Opening hours in the winter semester

Monday - Thursday: 9:00 - 20:00
Friday: 9:00 - 17:00
Specialised service by library staff is available from Monday to Thursday until 6 pm and on Fridays until 5 pm.
The Discovery Tool is a research tool provided by the Nordhausen University Library that enables students, teachers and other users to search the entire library collection efficiently.
In addition to books and journals, this also includes electronic resources such as e-books and e-journals.
The OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) is the electronic library catalogue that lists the entire media holdings of the HSN library and makes them available for searches.
Every registered library user also has the opportunity to view their user account.
Credit points are earned for successfully completed coursework and examinations in accordance with the "European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System" (ECTS).
The ECTS points reflect the average learning effort. One ECTS point corresponds to 30 hours of study.
Based on the ECTS points, the study and examination achievements are internationally comparable.
