English is not a compulsory part of the degree programme. Students who are interested in the language course can take English as part of a supplementary module. Students acquire knowledge of specialised English for special needs education as well as intercultural skills - for example by participating in a International Project Week with students and lecturers from different countries. Students who successfully complete this module receive a language certificate as proof of their achievements.
Alternatively, various language courses can also be attended independently of the supplementary module - at no additional cost. Here too, it is possible to obtain a certificate if you attend regularly. This gives you the opportunity to improve your language skills and gain further qualifications for international careers.
All additional achievements - such as language courses, additional supplementary subjects, certificates or participation in international projects - can be shown on the final certificate if desired. In this way, individual specialisations and additional qualifications can be made visible.
