ResIn = Resource Institute Nordhausen, teaching and research institution in the fields of environmental and recycling technology, geotechnics and mechanical engineering.
The Resource Institute (ResIn) is a scientific institution at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. The central task of the ResIn is to bundle teaching, research and practice in the field of resource and recycling management and to represent them visibly to the outside world. The institute combines different scientific disciplines in order to be able to work holistically on the common goal of resilient resource use with different expertise and approaches.

On Thuringian Innovation Centre for Recyclable Materials (ThIWert) ResIn's practical research is implemented in the areas of sustainable construction, bioresources and recycling of strategic raw materials.
The Resource Institute supports the development of new study programmes, promotes practice-oriented teaching and strengthens cooperation between business, research and students.
The institute offers a central point of contact for regional and national companies and institutions that require contract research in the field of sustainable resource utilisation.
Through the Resource Institute, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences bundles its activities in the fields of sustainability, recycling, resource efficiency, circular economy, geotechnics and mechanical engineering under one roof, thereby increasing its visibility in research, business and society. The annual Resource Forum provides a platform for sharing new research findings and engaging in social dialogue with industry, local authorities and citizens.

The institute is housed in House 34 on the campus of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.
