The certificate programme "Social Business Management - Shaping the Future of Social Management" provides you with the tools to master these challenges. Information about the degree programme

The certificate course offers you in-depth insights into modern business management methods and the personnel and organisational development of social institutions. You will work on practical issues that will support you in your daily work and help you to strengthen your leadership and management skills. The link between theory and practice is established through case studies, role plays and examples from the students' fields of work, allowing you to directly apply and reflect on what you have learnt in your professional practice.

  • Module 1: You will know the basics of social management, business management functions such as internal and external accounting, controlling, human resources and organisation. You will be able to develop possible solutions for general operational challenges in social organisations.
  • Module 2: You will be able to categorise and practically apply the central functions of personnel management and specific personnel strategies. You will be familiar with the legal framework for employment contracts, occupational health and safety and employee representation.
  • Module 3: You will be familiar with the basic principles of service provision law and understand the objectives, tasks and procedures of funding negotiations. You will be able to legally categorise and evaluate services in care, integration assistance and child and youth welfare in accordance with SGB XI, SGB XII, SGB IX and SGB VIII.
