Music unites - helping unites!

Study projects

In January 2025, a benefit concert took place at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, which was initiated and organised by Mr Justus Reichelt, a student in the 7th semester. The idea came from a university seminar in the sixth semester Social managementThe event was organised by the University of Applied Sciences and the city of Nordhausen. This ultimately led to the idea of organising a charity concert and inviting not only members of the university, but everyone from the city of Nordhausen.

As Mr Reichelt said after the event, the concert brought everyone a little closer together: "Looking back, I am very grateful for all the support I received from the university and fellow students in organising and implementing the event. It was a wonderful experience to inspire so many different musicians for this event and to create a varied programme from the diverse contributions of the participants."

The money raised was ultimately donated to the Central German Children's Hospice and the Christoffel Blindenmission - thanks to the concert, some children can now receive cataract surgery and other children with life-shortening illnesses can receive relief and support together with their families.

Overall, the event received many positive reviews in various media. Over 150 visitors filled the Audimax and experienced an evening full of music and solidarity. And: the impressions of the evening, making music together and the joy and inspiration it gave to all those who attended will remain.
