The Weinberghof canteen, which is run by Studierendenwerk Thüringen, provides students and staff at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences with meals, snacks, sandwiches and drinks. There is a choice of three to four dishes every day at lunchtime, including at least one vegetarian and/or vegan dish.
Wednesday is particularly popular: it's traditionally Schnitzel Day, when many people like to come to the canteen.
It is a central meeting point and serves not only as a place to eat, but also to socialise and relax between lectures.
The opening hours of the canteen are Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 14:30.
Wednesday Schnitzel Day is so well known that many people organise their timetable around it (if possible).
