Home | Implementation of practical recommendations for medically-occupationally orientated rehabilitation
Research question / project object:
Building on the Project MBOR-P In this project, practical recommendations for the implementation of MBOR in psychosomatic rehabilitation centres are agreed with experts and the people undergoing rehabilitation. These will then be introduced and implemented in the rehabilitation centres Celenus Psychosomatic Specialist Clinic Freiburg, Klinik Hüttenbühl Bad Dürrheim and Klinik Taubertal Bad Mergentheim. It will be tested whether the introduction of the newly harmonised practical recommendations leads to the treated persons achieving employment-related rehabilitation goals more effectively. People who receive their rehabilitation before the introduction of the new practice recommendations are compared with people who receive their rehabilitation after the introduction of the new practice recommendations.
The MBOR-PRIME study is being conducted jointly by the University of Lübeck, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and three rehabilitation centres.

The practical recommendations are agreed in a two-stage Delphi process with clinicians, scientists and people working for pension insurance organisations as well as people requiring rehabilitation.
The non-randomised intervention study includes 18- to 65-year-olds who are treated in MBOR. Participants in the control group receive MBOR as previously implemented in the three participating rehabilitation centres. Participants in the intervention group receive MBOR that also implements the practical recommendations agreed in the Delphi process. Among other things, the target group reached, the treatment dose provided and perceived, as well as treatment adherence will be assessed. The primary target criterion is the achievement of job-orientated rehabilitation goals. The study was registered in the German Register of Clinical Studies (DRKS00033722).
The study will be supported by an advisory board that includes people working in clinical, scientific or pension insurance organisations as well as people undergoing rehabilitation who have received psychosomatic MBOR. At the two planned advisory board meetings, topics relating to the implementation of the practical recommendations will be discussed.
