As part of the co-operation with the Diakonie-Krankenhaus Elbingerode, we are in contact with the "Arbeitskreis qualifizierter Entzug in der Inneren Medizin" (AKQEIM). In co-operation with this working group, a prospective study (questionnaire on qualified withdrawal) is being conducted at 10-15 German hospitals.
The study is exploratory and quantitative. In order to gain as comprehensive a picture as possible, seven German internal medicine clinics are to complete a standardised questionnaire for each of their patients in qualified withdrawal (QE) within a predetermined period of time, which has previously been agreed in the AKQEIM of the BDI. This should provide an overview of the patient population for the first time: How many people are treated in Qualified Withdrawal in Internal Medicine and what are their characteristics. In addition, the focus is on the therapeutic measures and their success (in particular disease acceptance, evaluation of therapy success, initiation of further measures).
