SoMa you can touch
What does the Student Council SoMa?
The official answer: Represent the interests of students, support them and stand up for their interests on the student side.
My answer: Emails, meetings and lots of talking.
What we actually do depends very much on the degree programme and what is currently on the agenda. There are no fixed compulsory events. The projects arise from the commitment of the members, the ideas of the student council, i.e. you, and from the cooperation with the lecturers.
How often we meet and what we implement during the semester depends on what we want to organise together and what is important to you. Incidentally, collaboration with lecturers doesn't just happen officially in committees, but also informally, sometimes between the door and the door, sometimes before lectures.
With our commitment to the degree programme, we can really make a difference and it's a really good feeling when an event runs as we planned it and is also well received by the students. We also learn a lot about project work, team organisation, communication and how much is possible when you work together.
As the newly elected FSR, we hit the ground running last winter semester. Introduction to the first semester students, first projects, first excursion week and lots of exciting ideas that have grown together with you.
Do you have ideas about what we can implement as the FSR or together with you and the lecturers?
