"Staatliches Studienkolleg"

The "Staatliches Studienkolleg" is an educational facility assigned to University of Applied Sciences Nordhausen which prepares foreign degree course applicants for a degree course at a university.

The preparatory course is temporally limited to one year (two semesters). Under certain prerequisites, each semester can be repeated once. The preparatory course is concluded with the assessment test (FSP), which consists of written and oral tests.

Successful completion of the assessment test entitles students to study at a German university according to the admission regulations.

Please note:

Students who are coming to Germany for one or two semesters within the framework of an exchange programme should contact the International Office, department of international study information, directly. They do not need to undergo any admission tests.

Equipment

We have two dedicated physics rooms, one chemistry and biology laboratory and a computer science laboratory with 24 PC workstations.

A hall of residence with space for 84 students in single and two-bedded rooms is located directly behind the training building.

The price of accommodation in the hall of residence lies between 100 and 200 euro (rent including heating and electricity). We provide assistance to all students who would like to find an apartment.

The refectory, which offers inexpensive breakfasts and lunches, is located to the left of the school building. The students additionally have access to a library, sports facilities and other options for leisure activities on the campus.
