24 November 2024
On 13 November 2024, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and STEFFEN HARTMANN RECYCLINGTECHNOLOGIEN GmbH signed a cooperation agreement for the implementation of dual study programmes. The aim of this collaboration is to promote the training of skilled workers and enable a practical link between science and industry.
STEFFEN HARTMANN RECYCLINGTECHNOLOGIEN GmbH, an innovative company based in Allrode, specialises in state-of-the-art recycling technologies. The company develops sustainable solutions in the field of industrial wastewater and recycling management and is a major player in the region. By cooperating with Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, the company can strengthen its skilled labour base and at the same time provide students with practice-oriented training.
The connection came about through a student at the university who is studying environmental and recycling technology and is currently working as a dual student at the company. Thomas Füldner, transfer scout at the university's Transferwerk, accompanied the process and supported the partners in organising the collaboration.
"With this cooperation, we are strengthening practice-oriented teaching at our university and creating a valuable interface between studying and working," explains Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. "Our students benefit from a close dialogue with industry and acquire important practical skills alongside their studies."
Sascha Holthusen, Managing Director of STEFFEN HARTMANN RECYCLINGTECHNOLOGIEN GmbH, adds: "In times of a shortage of skilled labour, it is crucial for companies to promote and retain young talent at an early stage. The cooperation with Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is an important step for us to bring innovative ideas into our company and to train future specialists."
Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences is known for its practice-oriented study programmes and close cooperation with companies in the region. The cooperation with STEFFEN HARTMANN RECYCLINGTECHNOLOGIEN GmbH emphasises the university's commitment to promoting knowledge transfer and innovation in the region.
