Attempt 1:

Tensile test on metals, plastics and composite materials

  • Determining the stress-strain curves for selected metals, plastics and composites
  • Determination of characteristic values according to DIN EN ISO 6892-1 and DIN EN ISO 527-1, 4, 5

Attempt 2:

Grinding preparation on metals, plastics and composite materials

  • Preparation of the materials used in the tensile test
  • Light microscopic microstructure analysis

Attempt 3:

Hardness testing according to Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers and universal hardness

  • Determining the hardness of metals and plastics using various methods
  • Determination of the parameters required to calculate the hardness

Attempt 4:

Impact strength of plastics according to Charpy

  • Determining the notched impact strength of selected plastics as a function of temperature
  • Determination of the transition temperature

Attempt 5:

Tensile test on metals using FEM (Finite Element Method)

  • Determination of stresses and deformations using a real measured stress-strain curve on the axially symmetrical 2D model
