Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences invites you to the Impulse event "35 years of peaceful revolution and the opening of the border" on 5 November 2024. Contemporary witnesses from Nordhausen and Ellrich will share their personal memories of this time. As part of this event, the university is launching a photo campaign under the motto "Contemporary witnesses wanted".

The upcoming Impulse event will focus on remembering the events of 1989.

In order to revitalise this contemporary history, citizens are invited to contribute their own memories in the form of photos. Photos and memories documenting this period can be submitted digitally or by post:

If possible, the photos should be accompanied by a short description containing information about the author, content, location and date of the picture. The submitted photos will be shown at the event and allow the stories of the events of 1989 to come to life.

The Impulse event "35 years of peaceful revolution and the opening of the border" will take place on Tuesday, 05.11.2024, from 18:00 to approx. 20:00 in Lecture Hall 1 (House 19) at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.

This event is part of a series of lectures organised by Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences together with the city of Nordhausen and the Wissenschaftlicher Verein - Förderverein der Hochschule Nordhausen e.V. (Scientific Association - Support Association of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences).
