Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and the National Polytechnic University of Lviv are planning to work together.

Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences welcomed a delegation from the National Polytechnic University of Lviv to campus this week. Eleven representatives of the Ukrainian university, including the vice-rector and eight institute directors, visited Nordhausen on 17 January 2024.

University President Prof Dr Jรถrg Wagner welcomed the delegation members together with Prof Dr Viola Sporleder-Geb, Professor of Administrative Law, Dr Sascha Bicke (Transferwerk), Prof Dr Alexander Dotsenko, Professor of Computer Science, Prof Dr Matthias Viehmann, Professor of Industrial Electronics, Jonas Mielke (Hike), representatives of the International Office and TรœV Thรผringen.

In addition to numerous subject and content-related points of interest, the visit focussed on opportunities for cooperation in teaching and research. In order to facilitate cooperation, a cooperation agreement will be concluded in the near future, which will also enable some exchanges via Erasmus+.

The National Polytechnic University of Lviv has over 30,000 students and over 6,000 employees, 16 institutes and 9 vocational colleges. The university is also home to the German-Ukrainian Education Centre, which was set up in cooperation with the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce and whose director was also a member of the delegation. TรœV Thรผringen also has a branch in Ukraine.
