On 24 October 2025, the graduation ceremony for the class of 2024/25 took place at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. In lecture theatres 1 and 2 of building 19 374 graduates of the two faculties of Engineering and Business, Economics and Social Sciences were honoured in a festive setting.

The event began at 4 p.m. and offered the numerous guests - including families and friends of the newly graduated alumni - a festive mix of greetings, speeches by Lord Mayor Kai Buchmann, among others, and musical contributions. There was a great response: the lecture theatres were very well filled and the festive atmosphere emphasised the importance of this day for the entire university community.

In his welcoming address, University President Prof. Dr Jรถrg Wagner paid tribute to the students' achievements and emphasised the importance of academic education for the future:

"With your degree, you are completing an important stage in your life and at the same time opening the door to new opportunities. You have the knowledge and the attitude that our society and economy needs today - help shape it with courage."

After the ceremonial presentation of the certificates, there was an opportunity for discussions, souvenir photos and a lively exchange between graduates, teaching staff, families and alumni. The festive afternoon was a worthy conclusion to a successful degree programme at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences.
