They are young, dynamic, full of ideas and successful. Daniel Koppe (30) studied "Health and Social Services" and his partner Lisa Hühnermann (27) "International Business Administration" at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. After several years of gaining professional experience in various sectors, they discovered their entrepreneurial spirit - a flair for ideas whose time has come. And they have plenty of them.
Foundation no. 1:
Since April 2017, Lisa and Daniel have been offering wooden furniture made from recycled oak and spruce wood with a lot of love and meticulousness in their furniture workshop. Tables, TV benches, seating and shelves leave their workshop in Leimbach to find new owners throughout Germany and now also Austria. "We like the old wood, combined with the simple, cool elegance of steel," - Lisa reveals with shining eyes. The variety of furniture is offered exclusively via the DK Möbelschmiede website and is delivered personally to the destination.
Foundation no. 2:
"We sat and tried, tested and had a lot of fun designing the Monocle puzzle and equipping it with props," says Daniel. Since spring 2017, there has been an escape room at T37 am Taschenberg, which poses many exciting puzzles about Nordhäuser Roland. The teams have one hour to solve the tasks and escape the room. Further puzzles are being planned. In future, however, these will not be solved on the Taschenberg, but on the premises of the third company foundation.
Foundation No. 3:
Since Saturday 11 November 2017, Nordhausen has had a laser tag arena for fun and adventure. What is already common in large cities as entertainment fun for young and old, old and young, is now also available in Nordhausen - at last. The teams can choose between five game variants. "Gameplanet is an offer that stimulates the playing spirit of a wide variety of people," reports the three-member founding team - Daniel Koppe, Lisa Hühnermann and Kasimir Lerchner - as they proudly present the laser tag arena. And the reception area also demonstrates Daniel's design skills - all the furniture is "made by DK Möbelschmiede".
"Our region needs such a team of entrepreneurs with a creative wealth of ideas and the courage to realise them. I feel like a 'little bit of Berlin' in Nordhausen and am proud that our university once laid the foundations for this. Even now, in the start-up phase, we are there to provide support," emphasises Dr Kareen Schlangen from Nordhausen University's start-up service.
