Students who are preparing for practice-orientated final theses in terms of subject, intercultural and language skills as part of the DAAD project HAW.International: HSN - nachhaltig regional international, funded by the BMFTR, took part in the Talents on Field event initiated by Nicola Bargfrede (Career Service / Internship Office) and successfully held for the second time.

After a brief introduction to the game of cricket by Nicola Bargfrede, the participants were able to put what they had learned into practice and analyse moves. After interesting company presentations, the exchange was deepened in an informal framework programme. (Photos: Wille/HSN)

Students on HSN's English-language engineering and IT Master's degree programmes prepare themselves specifically in terms of language, technical and intercultural skills for final theses, working student activities and later career entry in the region. In the winter semester 2025/26, they will improve their language skills and their prospects for Master's theses in companies and later career entry in the region through a specially designed programme ranging from German courses to tutorials, exchanges with alumni and company visits to HSN. This programme is made possible by the DAAD project HAW.International: HSN - sustainable regional international, funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space - BMFTR.

A particular highlight of the extracurricular programme for international students was their joint participation in the Talents on Field 2 event, where the students made contact with company representatives and alumni in a sporty way.

Nicola Bargfrede, Career Service / Internship Office: โ€žI am convinced that our international students bring a lot of knowledge, motivation and potential with them - and that formats like this can build bridges.โ€œ In order to further strengthen these bridges, companies are cordially invited to introduce themselves to the students participating in the programme on a Friday afternoon and to enter into an exchange with the students. If you are interested, companies are welcome to contact the project team via or 03631 420 134.
