The "Leave your mark" project recently celebrated its second edition. The aim of the day of action is to bring new students at Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences into contact with non-profit organisations right at the start of their studies and thus make it easier for them to settle into student and everyday life in their new home. The organisation team welcomed 68 curious and motivated students to the FHN Audimax. After a short introduction, the co-operation partners had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the new students.

Nine organisations could be won as cooperation partners: Jugendgäste- und Bildungshaus Rothleimmühle des Jugendsozialwerk Nordhausen e.V., Förderverein "Park Hohenrode" e.V., Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND), Christliches Hospiz "Haus der Geborgenheit", Kreisjugendring Nordhausen e.V., Freizeitheim RenYou & Prayce gGmbH, Addiction Help Centre of the Diakonie, Nordhäuser Kinder-Kirchen-Laden (KILA) and Schrankenlos e.V. WeltladenCafé.

After the introductory round, the students had the choice of a cooperation partner and their project (including apple harvesting, painting, landscape conservation and cooking). Once they had arrived at the respective location, the first task was to get to know the organisation by visiting it. Once this had been completed, the realisation of the respective project began. After a sumptuous lunch, the students returned to the Audimax at 3.00 pm for a final round. Happy, but also tired and exhausted students and co-operation partners reported on their experiences.
