On 13 March, a cooperation agreement was signed between Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences and TOBOL GmbH, a company in the field of automation technology and electronics development. The agreement was signed by Prof Dr Jörg Wagner, President of Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, and Tobias Funke, Managing Director of TOBOL GmbH. The initiative for the partnership came from HSN's Transferwerk. The aim of the co-operation is to strengthen the link between academic education and professional practice, particularly in the fields of automation and electronics development as well as electrical engineering.

The cooperation is intended to offer students the opportunity of a dual study programme that combines theoretical phases at the university with practical phases at TOBOL in order to combine theoretical knowledge and practical professional experience.

TOBOL GmbH, active in the development of solutions for building automation, with three locations in Germany and sales throughout Europe, is committed to promoting young talent in the automation and electrical engineering sector. The company also offers school pupils insights into the professional field through project weeks and promotes interest in technical professions.

The company recently moved into a new company building in Leinefelde-Worbis, which serves as a modern workplace and production facility. A tour of the plant, led by Stephanie Reimann, Head of Human Resources at TOBOL, after the contract was signed, offered insights into the production of switchgear using laser technology and robotics.

The cooperation agreement is aimed at close collaboration in the selection and training of young professionals and the provision of practical knowledge during their studies. The partnership is conceived as a contribution to the development of university studies and the provision of qualified specialists for industry.
